About Us

With a love that can only be described as "meant to bee", John and Randi Hickman founded Hickman Honey Company, LLC shortly after tying the knot. John, who has been a beekeeper for several years, told Randi when they first started dating that she "had to learn to like the bees if it was going to work out". Long story short- they found out Randi is highly allergic to honey bees. However, that hasn't stopped her from suiting up and helping grow the business. 

The two recently welcomed a new little honey bee to the hive, sweet Tatum Grace.They can't wait to share their love for bees with her as she grows up. 

John manages the bees on a daily basis while Randi handles the business side of things. Both are certified beekeepers who always enjoy learning about the bees. From nutrition to reproduction, and everything in between, it all plays a big role in maintaining healthy hives and that's important to Hickman Honey Company. 

Currently, the bees are split between honey production and pollination services. As hive numbers continue to grow, a focus will be placed on diversifying the operation.
